OUR MISSION

We opened the doors of The River Coffee House to provide hope in the form of job opportunities to minority groups of Guatemala. We firmly believe that opportunity is the catalyst that can change someone’s life.  Poverty, violence, addiction, and broken families are all often a result of a lack of hope, resulting from the lack of opportunity. A lot of times people are trapped in cycles by no fault of their own , with not a lot of ways out.

A job at the River is so much more than just a job opportunity. As our staff work with us they will be empowered as leaders, learning how to live mission-minded through Biblical teachings, mentoring, and outreaches. Our goal is that after their time with us, they would take the next steps to seek the call of God on their lives. We believe God has on Guatemala to not just be a receiving nation of missions but a nation who sends. This is our small part to serve Guatemalans empowering them to serve the nations.
